Sheryle R. Baker, M.A., LMHC
Executive Director

Since 1983, Sheryle has provided the leadership and direction of The LIFE Center. In addition to her 21 years of experience as a psychotherapist specializing in bereavement and traumatic loss and incident, Sheryle also studied and trained for over seven years with international authority on Death and Dying, Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. Sheryle is also trained and certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is an innovative counseling method that is designed to help reduce post traumatic stress symptoms which may complicate the grief process. Through the use of EMDR and traditional psychological modalities, Sheryle has helped hundreds of victims and/or witnesses of crime reduce disturbing images, beliefs and emotions.

Bill Campbell, M.S., LMHC

Bill has worked in the counseling field since 1978. His professional expertise includes mental health, addiction and recovery, family relationships and traumatic loss and grief. Bill is currently furthering his therapeutic skills with EMDR training. As a staff member, Bill brings his life experience and caring to help survivors to heal.

Martin D. Cohen, Ph.D.
Founder and Clinical Director

A practicing, licensed psychologist for almost 30 years, Marty has also provided extensive training to thousands of health and mental health professionals on such topics as grief, stress management, coping with traumatic stress, and The Psychological Aspects of Terrorism and Disasters. He has directed award-winning mental health programs which have helped numerous clients transform their fear and suffering into new forms of understanding and growth.
